High mast with fixed platform with asymmetrical projectors TFI 16-1

Produced for lighting sport venues for small and large systems or for lighting large areas, it is characterized by a stair climbing system and a top platform where the lighting fixtures are installed. The top equipment is designed for maximum versatility of use, from the large stadium to the small sports field, both for symmetrical and asymmetrical projectors.

The ladder is designed to be used both with a fall protection system and safety harness. The decades of experience in the design and implementation of these structures, nationally and internationally, provides customers with a specific solution for every particular technological and lighting application.

Stem
The stem, based on the height of the tower, is composed of multiple logs, of shape truncated-pyramidal with polygonal section, made of pressed steel sheet and longitudinally welded. The different trunks are coupled in situ by means of overlap joints using the ‘slip on joint’ method. The process of welding the logs ensures compliance with UNI EN ISO 15609 and CNR UNI 10011 standards. It should be noted that the welding process involves, unless otherwise specified by the Customer, 100% penetration of the log grafts and at least 80% in all remaining length of the logs.

Headlight platform
The platform applied by bolted joint to the top of the drum is made of hot-rolled steel elements cut from sheet metal. The platform is also equipped with a non-slip floor and a para-foot. Access to the floor shall be provided by means of a trapdoor. All the geometric and functional characteristics of the complex are in accordance with the current safety regulations. The projectors are mounted on special bolted sleepers on the platform structure.

Rest area

The rest terrace, also made of steel carpentry, has technical and construction characteristics similar to those of the platform with grilled floor and equipped with an access hatch. The connection to the stem is obtained by means of a bolt with a special element welded to the same stem.

Materials
The different structural elements of the tower are to be used with the following materials:
– stem: S355 JR steel (Fe 510 B) UNI EN 10025;
– carpentry: steel S235 JR (Fe 360 B) UNI EN 10025;
– bolts: class 8.8 hot-dip galvanized steel.

Surface protections
All steel components are protected against surface corrosion by hot-dip galvanizing in a molten zinc bath in accordance with EN 40-2.

Method of installation
The anchorage of the tower to the foundation is made by means of a fixation in the concrete plinth. For special applications it is possible to provide anchoring of the tower to its foundation by means of rods, drowned in the plinth, and base flange welded to the lower trunk of the stem.
